About SeaZen

The Vessel : Sea Zen is a 1979 Pearson 424. The 424 is a 42 foot long ketch with a 13 foot beam and was designed by Bill Shaw. She has a 5 foot, 5 inch draft and is weighs 23,000 lbs. My family chose this boat because the Pearson’s proven ability to cruise from New England to the Caribbean along the United States east coast. She is comfy and roomy and high enough freeboard to do a front flip off of into warm tropical water!

Her Name: Dad named Seazen because to sail the length of the east coast requires intuition, mediation, and self reflection.
